Malaysia's FEI World Endurance Championships hit the streets in style with a 48 horse parade through the centre of Kuala Lumpur this morning.  The marching contingent of 48 horses was made up of Polis di-Raja Malaysia and DBKL's Mounted Units, and some of Malaysia's Endurance Team.  They were accompanied by police outriders and two marching bands.

The FEI World Endurance Championship 2008 will meet the public this Saturday when a parade of 48 horses will ride through downtown Kuala Lumpur to Dataran Merdeka. The parade will leave Taman Tasek Titiwangsa at 9:30 am and should arrive at Dataran Merdeka at approximately 10:30 am, where they will be met by KDYMM Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.

The results of the FEI/ISN/EAM-Malaysia Endurance Circuit Series 2:

 

SETIU, May 24 (Bernama) -- Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Saturday led the challenge in the second circuit of the Malaysian Endurance Championship at the Terengganu International Endurance Park in Lembah Bidong near here.

 

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin qualified for this year's world endurance championship to be held in Terengganu when he completed the gruelling Nanango three-Star 160km International Endurance ride near Kingaroy in Queensland, yesterday.

 

Here is some quick information about the endurance ride that was held at the end of March at the Terengganu International Endurance Park.  It was part of the FEI/EAM/ISN Malaysia Endurance Circuit, the first event of a series.

 

Northern Corridor Promotions (NCP), the organisers of the Royal Kedah International Endurance Ride 2008, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Strategy Komunikasi Utama (SKU) of Indonesia to promote a joint Kedah-Bali Endurance Ride circuit next year.

 

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin today led 42 Malaysian participants to the Malaysian Endurance Circuit FEI/ISN/EAM 2008 at the Terengganu International Endurance Park (TIEP) at Lembah Bidong, here.

 

The discipline of Endurance is undergoing a full review of its rules. One of the key innovations introduced in new rules, which will come in force on 1 January 2009, is the emphasis put on the education of all officials involved in the discipline be they judges, technical delegates, and veterinarians.

 

The six Endurance Task Force Chairman are now making final checks to the document that contains their proposed rules changes in advance of it being circulated to the FEI Technical Committee members for Endurance. Throughout the period of review the Task Force has operated as an independent body and has been in touch with a wide cross section of people involved within the discipline.

 

The FEI Task Force Chairmen met for four days, from 21 to 24 February, to agree on the final recommendations for the new FEI Endurance Rules for 2009 and onwards.

World titles will be up for renewal and grabs this year as the 12th FEI World Endurance Championship edge their way closer. Indeed, from 6 to 9 November 2008, Terengganu in Malaysia will be host to defending, aspiring and future World champions.

IT'S confirmed! Malaysia will get to host the 2008 World Endurance Championship after passing the final test set by the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) in Lembah Bidong, Setiu, yesterday.

 

Naser Marzouqi from United Arab Emirates edged Jack Begaud from France to win the Sultan's Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge 2007 at the Terengganu International Endurance Park (TIEP).

THE wind of change is sweeping through Bidong Valley as preparations are underway for this year's edition of the the Sultan's Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge 2007.

The 2007 Sultan's Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge will be held November 9-11 at Terengganu International Endurance Park, Terengganu, Malaysia. The second running of this prestigious 160km Endurance challenge will also be the official test event for the 2008 World Endurance Championship (November 6-9, 2008). In addition to Malaysia's best horses and riders, several competitors from around the world will be there to test the course with their own horses, and experience first hand the unique challenges of Endurance riding in the tropics.

 

Nine Malaysian states have registered for equestrian sports  the Sukma Games 2008.  The states are Federal Territories (W.P.), Kelantan, Penang, Kedah, Selangor, Pahang. Melaka, Johor and hosts Terengganu.

 

As you may be aware, an Endurance Task Force was set up in order to enable a full review of the sport ahead of the disciplines’ major rule review due in January 2009. The task force is divided into 6 divisions with three members devoted to each division including a serving chairman.

 

Twenty-five professional riders from 15 countries have confirmed participation in the fourth edition of the Sultan's Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge 2007 at the Terengganu International Endurance Park in Setiu on November 9-11.

 

There was a touch of pageantry fit for a King at the launch of the Sultan’s Cup Terengganu Endurance Challenge 2007 as the organisers used a delightful little pageant to launch the event.  It told the story of how the Sultan’s Cup Challenge had been conceived and the challenge made to the rest of the world.

 

The Kelantan Royal Endurance Ride 4, 2007 will be conducted as part of the overall celebration to commemorate the birthday of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kelantan's.

 

Faisal Ismail of ar-Raudhah Equine Centre beat 10 other riders to finish first in the CEI 3* 160 km Ride of the Edaran Endurance Classic 2007 at Terengganu International Endurance Park in Setiu, Terengganu, the venue of the forthcoming World Endurance Championship 2008.

The 5th Edaran Endurance Classic was launched today with an endurance horse and rider mounting up at Saffron Restaurant in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

Australia won both team events at the Nanango Forest Endurance ride at the weekend. The event was host to an international FEI 3* 160km ride, along with the Trans Tasman FEI 3* 160km and FEI 2* 110km.

 

The FEI has appointed the members of the Endurance Task Force who have been asked to undertake a full review of the sport ahead of the disciplines major rule review due in January 2009.

World Senior Endurance Championship 2008 qualification criteria for approval by the FEI Bureau

The FEI Technical Committee, together with the FEI Endurance Department have now submitted the final wording of the World Senior Endurance Championship 2008 qualification criteria for approval by the FEI Bureau.

 

The Nanango CEI 3-Star 160 km International Endurance ride near Kingaroy in Queensland will have a royal competitor. The current King of Malaysia hopes to gain the necessary qualification to compete in the FEI World Endurance Championships, which will be held in Lembah Bidong, Terengganu next year.

Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, who will be installed as the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Thursday, is a ruler who has the people at heart and is highly active in sports, especially equine events, and has emerged as the best polo player of Terengganu.

 

The Yayasan Diraja Sultan Mizan (YDSM) is confident of securing the right to organize the World Endurance Race Championship 2008 (WEC) based on the direct involvement of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin in bringing the prestigious meet to Malaysia.

 

KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 -- The Qatar International Endurance Race had a royal glitter with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin riding his mare to a podium finish at the Qatar Endurance Village in Doha.
